Newser is a new online new service that scans many news sources using both human and automated aggregation. Utiling a visual layout, the news service gives you a quick look at the most interesting news items at any time. What I liked about this service is a “Hard” and “Soft” slider. Slide the slider either way and the news changes for hard hitting to the more feel good variety.
Sliding the slider over to ‘soft’ got me to an article on horses from the USA being shipped over to Mexico to face a gruesome death with a knife – a truly evil practice.
